If you read in the newspaper this week, a new low-cost-carrier named Malindo Airways will be setup by National Aerospace and Defence Industries Sdn Bhd (Nadi) and Lion Air’s owner PT Lion Group. Malindo Airways is poised to start in May 2013 and will be operated at the soon-to-be completed KLIA2 at KL International Airport in Sepang as its hub.
With the establishment of Malindo Airways, we are targetting that they will be thousand of jobs available for Malaysia and Indonesia market. Those currently in this industry can grab this opportunity. Since, Malindo Airways will be operating in early May 2013, they have no choice but to start the recruitment strategy now.
Just like other business, we can expect that Lion Air will use their expertise and manpower to spearhead the new airlines. The reason is simple, they are already in the industry and has their staff has the relevant knowledge, experiences and competencies to fill up most all of the positions available in Malindo Airways.
If the reports say that there will be a price war between AirAsia and Malindo Airways next year, don’t forget on the staff pinching war between the player like AirAsia, MAS, Tiger Airways etc.
