The event today was successful, eventhough the turnout is not that big but most of the companies has at least return with few resume. All together, more than 36 companies participated in this event and most of them from IT industry. Dell, HP, Telekom, Mimos, Bank Rakyat, Bank Islam are few that I can remembered.
The rest are from recruitment agency/ headhunter for example Kelly Services, Jobstreets etc. I noticed many of the participants or the visitor has another 1 semester to go and majority with a IT related studies.
My last note to all jobseekers, I would like to share some tips for you to consider when joining such event :
- Bring enough copy of your resume (hard copy and soft copy)
- Come with proper attire bcoz sometimes, the employer has arrange walk-in-interview
- In big career fair, they are more than 300-400 companies just focus to the one that you interested to work with.
- Communicate confidently with the recruiters and try to get their contact.
- Don’t go in group, be professional !
